ʕु-̫͡-ʔु”-- Hey, How's It Goin! Welcome to the CoolAnimeHustler Blogspot! I'm the CoolAnimeHustler and today I want to indroduce another Cool website call Renpy.org. Renpy.org provides a nifty game engine called "Ren'Py". Ren'Py is a visual novel engine – used by hundreds of creators from around the world – that helps anyone use words, images, and sounds to tell interactive stories that run on computers and mobile devices. These can be both visual novels and life simulation games. The easy to learn script language allows anyone to efficiently write large visual novels, while its Python scripting is enough for complex simulation games. The Very Best part about the Ren'py game engine is that it's open source and free for commercial use. This game engine can run on Windows XP+, Mac OS X 10.6+, IOS 6+, Linux x86/x86_64, and the Android 2.3+. Here's a link to the website...

Wow I had no idea something like this existed! I actually wrote a novel, it took me about 4 months but to do something like this would have been easier I think haha. I will definitely look into it and spread the word. Thanks for sharing!

Having software like this can bring out you're inner "Choose Your Own Adventure" Or "Dating Sim" project. I'm glad that the owners of this website can give everyone a chance to make that happen! Visual Novels are always fun to play and they're cool to watch as well.

Out of curiosity have you tried this program or made a little visual novel with it. I remember a while back testing it out with free to use art. It's a neat little tool but unfortunately I don't have the drawing skills that would make something like this come to life.

I read lot of Comics/ Manga, Played Visual Novels myself and also read the Chose Your Own Adventure Books. When It comes to drawing skills, you have to practice , practice, and practice. It's good to learn and look at some artist that you love and just try to trace it a couple of times. Like shooting a Free Throw in Basketball, If you keep practicing you will develop "Muscle Memory". If you keep tracing and tracing and tracing, You'll start to remember the patterns and then you'll begin to remember that specific shape. I did this for a little bit and then when it came to pixel art something just snapped within me and I can kind of remember certain patterns that can help me create someting out of Pixels. You'll make a lot of mistakes at first and I've made many, many, many and many of them but something will click inside you and when it does... it will be a great feeling!

I'm so happy to have found your site! I work with kids and am wondering if Ren 'Py will be something that I can incorporate and use with them. I'm often trying to help kids incorporate images with text during literacy instruction so I hope that this is something that I can use and share with them.
